The Challenge
Originally a producer of crystal cleaving equipment for industries like solar and electronics, Neutron Therapeutics began exploring BNCT applications while at GT Advanced Technologies. As the company’s focus shifted, they realized the need to rebrand as a modern, approachable, and competitive player in the medical technology space.
The Solution
Brand Identity
Through in-depth discovery sessions with Neutron Therapeutics’ leadership, I crafted a comprehensive brand strategy. We explored their target audience, competitors, and the company’s vision. The result was a refined brand identity that embodied their goals, with a logo inspired by a DNA strand—symbolizing the company’s scientific foundation and commitment to innovation. In addition, I developed a logo for their product, nuBeam, designed to work alongside the overall brand.
Marketing Collateral
In preparation for entering the highly specialized BNCT field, we developed a full suite of marketing assets, including tradeshow materials, brochures, and educational signage for international industry events. These materials effectively communicated the groundbreaking technology and the company’s mission.
Website Development
A critical component of the rebrand was the website. The goal was to create a clean, professional platform targeting hospitals, universities, and investors, while also reflecting the human side of cancer treatment. I worked with a writer, photographer, and CAD illustrator to bring the project to life, ensuring the website was both visually striking and informative. The result was a blend of technology and human-centered messaging that aligned perfectly with the company’s mission.
The Outcome
Neutron Therapeutics successfully launched their brand in the BNCT field. Their nuBeam suite is now under construction at Helsinki University Hospital, marking Europe’s first BNCT platform. Additionally, a second installation is planned in Japan, positioning Neutron Therapeutics as a global leader in this innovative therapy.
